Transport and in particular private cars are responsible for a third of carbon emissions in the Borough and unlike domestic and industrial emissions, they haven’t reduced much over the last decade. Whether it is active travel (walking, cycling, wheeling), public transport (bus, metro) or car-sharing and the use of electric vehicles, the Green Party are working to make travel greener, healthier and fairer across North Tyneside.
