Green Party Confirms candidates for North Tyneside Local Elections

  • “I want to work with Whitley Bay residents to make our area an even better place to live, work and relax. I can see that, as a community, we do so much to support each other. I want to be a part of keeping the good things we have and building on this for us and generations to come.” – Alan Steele (Green Party Candidate for Whitley Bay)

The North Tyneside Borough Green Party have announced a record number of candidates for the North Tyneside Local Elections.

In total, the Party will stand 15 candidates across the Borough – as well as standing a candidate in the Mayoral Election. This is double the number of Candidates who stood for the Party in 2019, which was in itself a record, and reflects the growth of the Party locally.

The Party’s lead campaigner, Alan Steele, will be standing for election in Whitley Bay and it is hoped that Alan will be voted in as the first Green Councillor for North Tyneside.

Alan’s Campaign Manager, Neil Percival, says:

In Alan, Whitley Bay has a real opportunity to elect North Tyneside’s first Green Councillor – just as the people of South Tyneside elected their first Green Councillor, David Francis, in 2019 on a similar wave of support. Alan has worked hard for the residents of Whitley Bay, and all the indications are that local people are listening, and recognise the opportunity that Alan represents
